Go beyond “service animals are welcome.”
Permission does not tell you whether the room, property or surrounding environment will work for the partnership. Learn what to verify about room location, relief areas, public spaces, resort policies and the animal’s daily routine.
After this module, you’ll know how to evaluate whether an accommodation is not only permitted, but functionally suitable.
04. Destinations, Attractions, and Daily Experiences
Make sure the itinerary works after check-in.
Crowds, heat, pavement, long touring days, transportation, attraction policies and limited relief opportunities can all affect the experience.
After this module, you’ll know how to identify barriers within the daily itinerary and plan experiences that support both the traveler and their animal.
05. Cruising with a Service Animal
Prepare for the ship, the ports and everything in between.
Cruising introduces another layer of planning—from cruise-line approval and relief arrangements to port requirements, documentation and shore excursions.
After this module, you’ll know what to verify with the cruise line and how to plan for the partnership throughout the entire sailing.
06. International Travel and Documentation
Know what is required before your client reaches the border.
International travel may involve health certificates, vaccinations, microchips, import permits, destination-specific timelines and requirements for returning home.
After this module, you’ll know where to research current requirements, what needs to be documented and how to build a verification timeline.
07. Building the Complete Service Animal Travel Plan
Bring every part of the trip together.

With 22+ years of combined occupational therapy experience, we bring a different lens to service animal travel planning:
